ORIGAMI Work Plan and WP interactions.
ORIGAMI Work Plan and WP interactions.

The implementation plan of ORIGAMI is divided into 5 work packages (WPs) that are in turn divided into 17 tasks. Three work packages are technology-oriented (WP2, WP3, and WP4), one management-oriented WP (WP1), and one for communication / dissemination / exploitation and standardization activities (WP5).

Project Management and Coordination

The objective of this work package is to ensure effective coordination and management of the project, encompassing various elements such as administrative, financial, technical, quality and risk management, data management, as well as fostering strong partner relationships and liaising with the European Commission.

  • Task 1.1 Project Administration
  • Task 1.2 Technical Management
  • Task 1.3 Quality assurance and risks monitoring
  • Task 1.4 Ethics and Data Management

The activities carried out in WP1 to date are described in the following deliverables

  • Deliverable 1.1: Project Management Handbook Private
  • Deliverable 1.2: Data management and ethics handbook Private
  • Deliverable 1.3: First Period Report of the Project Private
  • Deliverable 1.4: Second Period Report of the Project Private

ORIGAMI System Architecture

WP2 is responsible for establishing the advanced network architecture envisioned in ORIGAMI. This work package sets the technical groundwork for the project's subsequent technical activities.

  • Task 2.1 Analysis of system architecture and use cases: barriers, requirements and KPI definition.
  • Task 2.2 New business models.
  • Task 2.3 ORIGAMI System Architecture Design.

The activities carried out in WP2 to date are described in the following deliverables

Design of GSBA, ZTL and CCL solutions

WP3 is in charge of designing the Network Intelligence (NI) and global services that are enabled by and empower the Global Service Based Architecture (GSBA), Cloud Continuum Layer (CCL) and Zero-Trust exposure Layer (ZTL) layers developed by ORIGAMI. WP3 is composed by the following tasks:

  • Task 3.1 Design of NI solutions for the Core Network domain.
  • Task 3.2 Design of NI solutions for RAN domains.
  • Task 3.3 Design of NI solutions for transport domains.

The activities carried out in WP3 to date are described in the following deliverables

Development and evaluation of GSBA, ZTL and CCL solutions

This WP for the development, as well as evaluation activities of the ORIGAMI cloud continuum layer and zero- trust layer solutions.

  • Task 4.1 Evaluation frameworks and KPI/KVI validations
  • Task 4.2 Development of compute continuum layer solutions
  • Task 4.3 Development of ZTL-based solutions

The activities carried out in WP4 to date are described in the following deliverables

  • Deliverable 4.1: Initial report on evaluation frameworks and tools.
  • Deliverable 4.2: Initial evaluation of ORIGAMI solutions and services exploiting exposure and continuum layer.
  • Deliverable 4.3: Final evaluation of ORIGAMI solutions and services, and KPI validation .

Communication, Dissemination, Exploitation, & Standardisation

Work Package 5 (WP5) will focus on communication, dissemination and exploitation activities. It is also the main work package where all the innovation actions, the standardization alignment, and the SNS-IA interaction will take place.

  • Task 5.1 Definition and implementation of the Communication & Dissemination strategy.
  • Task 5.2 Standardization alignment and Innovation Management.
  • Task 5.3 Liaison activities with 6G-IA and external fora.
  • Task 5.4 Exploitation activities, Technology Transfer and IPR Management.

The activities carried out in WP5 to date are described in the following deliverables
